PM1208M

The PM1208M is a Wrist Gamma Dosimeter, which has preserved the best features of preceding models like the Model 1208, including a whole range of new advanced features.

The PM1208M Wrist Gamma Indicators are unique watches that continuously monitor environmental radiation levels well as the dose rate received by the person wearing the device. The PM1208/PM1208 are designed for both professionals dealing with radiation on a daily basis and concerned citizens. The PM1208/PM1208M series perform the following functions:

•Monitors gamma radiation levels continuously 24 hours-a-day.

•Measures the ambient dose and dose rate continuously.

•Alerts users to hazardous situations with an audible alarm.

The Swiss-made RONDA 763 with quartz movement ensures the reliability and accuracy of the watch operation. The advanced design steel case ensures that the instruments remain water resistant to depths up to 328 feet (100 meters). In addition, the watch contains an electroluminescent backlight allowing full operation in the dark.

The PM1208/PM1208M requires only minimum power consumption and will operate continuously for one year from one CR2032 battery.

Furthermore, the PM1208M is able to record and store data for up to 500 events in the instruments' non-volatile memory.  The PM1208M Wrist Gamma Indicator is also equipped with an infrared-channel allowing communication between the watch and a PC. The user can also program the instrument’s settings by using the special PC software provided. Additionally, the user can transfer operational data from instruments' memory to a PC for further data processing and analysis.

Your radiation protection posture is only as good as the warning systems that are in place. These small gamma indicators are essential for professionals working with radiation sources as well as for anyone concerned with radio-ecology issues. As the radiation background increases greatly at high-altitudes, Polimaster recommends the PM1208 series for frequent airplane travelers to monitor their radiation exposure.
