PM1203
General Purpose Pocket Dosimeter
The PM1203 is a multipurpose dosimeter designed for measurement of ambient dose equivalent ?*(10) and ambient dose equivalent rate of gamma radiation H*(10).
The PM1203 continuously operates in an automatic mode of dose and dose rate measurement from the moment of inserting the batteries. Period of the device operation from one set of batteries at normal conditions is at least 1 year. Presetting of the alarm thresholds of dose rate and dose by the user is provided for in the dosimeter. In case any of these preset thresholds are exceeded this information is indicated in the LCD and audible alarm signals are coming. The dosimeter also automatically counts time of dose accumulation.
Energy range of the device operation of 60 keV - 1.5 MeV, dose rate measurement, starting with the background values (0.1 mSv/h) make it possible to control using the dosimeter the radiation environment and radiation dose of the user not only at various operations with sources of ionizing radiation but also even in conditions of slight natural background fluctuations.
The devices allow the user to preset alarm thresholds on dose rate and accumulated dose (two independent thresholds for dose and two for dose rate, which differ in type of audible alarm signals). In case any of the preset thresholds is exceeded this information is indicated in the LCD and corresponding audible alarm signal sounds. The dosimeters automatically count the time of dose accumulation.
The optional IR- adapter makes it possible to use the dosimeter as a component of computer system for accounting the doses of personnel and for creating corresponding data bases.
